Il int\u00e9grera \u00e9galement d\u2019importantes am\u00e9liorations en mati\u00e8re d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, de confort des passagers et de capacit\u00e9s d\u2019observation de la faune. L\u2019une de ses principales innovations r\u00e9side dans son <a href=\"https:\/\/new.abb.com\/news\/detail\/112674\/abb-to-power-first-hybrid-electric-polar-expedition-cruise-ship-built-in-south-america\"><strong data-start=\"2380\" data-end=\"2424\">syst\u00e8me de propulsion hybride-\u00e9lectrique<\/strong><\/a>, qui en fera le premier navire d\u2019exp\u00e9dition polaire hybride construit sur le continent am\u00e9ricain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2524\" data-end=\"3186\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cette technologie associe des <strong>moteurs diesel de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration conformes \u00e0 la norme d\u2019\u00e9missions<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"2625\" data-end=\"2641\">IMO Tier III<\/strong> et un syst\u00e8me avanc\u00e9 de <strong>batteries marines lithium-ion<\/strong>. Cette configuration permet d\u2019optimiser la consommation d\u2019\u00e9nergie tout en r\u00e9duisant de mani\u00e8re significative l\u2019impact environnemental des op\u00e9rations en Antarctique. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce syst\u00e8me, le navire pourra naviguer en utilisant exclusivement l\u2019\u00e9nergie stock\u00e9e dans les batteries lors de certaines man\u0153uvres ou phases d\u2019exploitation. Il sera ainsi possible de r\u00e9duire les \u00e9missions de CO\u2082, la consommation de carburant ainsi que le bruit sous-marin susceptible d\u2019affecter la faune marine locale.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"982\" class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">En outre, le <strong data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"804\">Magellan Discoverer<\/strong> int\u00e9grera des syst\u00e8mes de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration et de r\u00e9utilisation de l\u2019\u00e9nergie, notamment la valorisation de la chaleur r\u00e9siduelle des moteurs pour le chauffage des espaces int\u00e9rieurs.<span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"984\" data-end=\"1351\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le navire a \u00e9t\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u pour r\u00e9pondre aux normes les plus exigeantes en mati\u00e8re de durabilit\u00e9 dans les r\u00e9gions polaires particuli\u00e8rement sensibles.
