Sustainable solutions: we take part in the treatment of the ballast water and the anti-pollution systems for the gas emissions.

In accordance with international conventions and regulations, not only existing vessels but also new-built ships must comply with the environmental requirements concerning aquatic ecosystems and the emission of gases into the atmosphere.

CT has specialised in this field and provided its customers with advice regarding environmental requirements.

For new projects we have fitted Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to new constructions such as the Almostakshif and the Australian Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AAOR) vessels, and we have also made retrofits and modifications to the OceanXplorer and Exemplar.

It must be pointed out that there has been ongoing collaboration with Navantia Reparaciones, in updating the Ballast Water Treatment Systems for the fleets of Floating Storage Regasification Units (FSRUs), Exmar and Excelerate.

Engineering has also been carried out on the Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) for new-built constructions, a variety of technologies being applied such as chemical oxidation cleaning and ultraviolet sterilisation.
