CT Engineering Group Strengthens DATA4’s Infrastructure Through BMS Maintenance and New System Developments

The growing demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, and large-scale data processing is accelerating the evolution of data centers into increasingly efficient, scalable, and resilient infrastructures. In this context, Building Management Systems (BMS) play a critical role in ensuring operational continuity, optimizing energy consumption, and providing real-time monitoring of critical facilities.

Against this backdrop, DATA4, one of Europe’s leading operators of high-capacity data centers, continues to strengthen its presence across the continent through a strategy focused on sustainability, technological innovation, and the expansion of large-scale digital campuses. Founded in France and operating in Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, and Poland, the company has become a benchmark for enterprises, cloud providers, and public institutions seeking next-generation critical infrastructure.

Its campuses have been designed to deliver scalability, energy efficiency, and multicloud connectivity, relying on modular infrastructures capable of adapting to the continuous growth in technological demand. This approach positions the company as a key player in the development of Europe’s digital ecosystem.

In Spain, DATA4 is driving the development of one of the most significant data center campuses in the Madrid region, contributing to the area’s emergence as a leading digital hub in Southern Europe. Its commitment to innovation includes the deployment of advanced management systems (BMS and DCIM), intelligent automation, and energy recovery projects for industrial and biotechnology environments.

Within this framework, CT Engineering Group is involved in the operation, maintenance, and continuous evolution of the Building Management System (BMS) for the data centers operated by DATA4 in Spain. This collaboration is part of the company’s broader growth strategy in the data center (DC) sector.

The scope of this project includes upgrading the control architecture, integrating new HVAC and power equipment, and enhancing real-time monitoring systems. Leveraging our expertise in industrial automation and control systems, CT is implementing solutions that enable DATA4 to optimize the operation of its facilities while ensuring service continuity in a high-demand technological environment.

Among the main responsibilities undertaken by CT are:

  • Expanding the BMS to support new technical rooms and expansion modules.
  • Integrating advanced sensors to improve energy and thermal monitoring.
  • Providing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure 24/7 system availability.
  • Implementing standardized communication protocols to facilitate interoperability with DCIM systems and DATA4’s management platforms.

Through this project, CT aims to strengthen its position as a leading technology partner in BMS (PcVue SCADA System) solutions, supporting DATA4 Spain’s data centers with specialized engineering expertise and continuous operational support.
