CT promotes female leadership in engineering with the launch of the ConneCTing Women 26–29 program.
November 27, 2025

As part of the “From Challenge to Female Leadership in Engineering” event, CT brings together voices from the aerospace, naval, and technology sectors to share career decisions, early-career challenges, and professional achievements. This event has been organized in collaboration with EVA (Ellas Vuelan Alto), an association that promotes the visibility and leadership of women in the aerospace sector, and CTA (Andalusian Technology Corporation), an organization that drives innovation and advises companies on the design of their R&D&i strategies, with an Equality Plan —featuring more than 62% women in its workforce— as a cornerstone of its social commitment.

This forum also serves as a platform to announce ConneCTingWomen 26–29, the next stage of CT’s program to promote female leadership in engineering. At CT Ingenieros, we champion talent that drives change, innovation that emerges from diversity, and an engineering environment where everyone can reach their full potential.

ConneCTingWomen 26–29 was born with a clear purpose: to foster female leadership and visibility in engineering, promoting a culture at CT based on equality, innovation, and professional development. The program is structured around three proven levers: internal cooperation (support networks, mentoring, and visibility opportunities), collaboration with Ellas Vuelan Alto, and partnerships with other organizations (clients, educational institutions, and associations) to attract new talent to engineering and build a diverse STEM pipeline.

The previous edition yielded measurable results that raise the bar: the first Mentoring Program, with 10 pairs over six months, strengthened participants’ technical, management, and leadership skills, as well as their forward-looking vision. Building on this foundation, ConneCTingWomen 26–29 establishes three strategic objectives: enhance the visibility and positioning of our female engineers in key forums and projects, intensify collaboration with EVA through an annual calendar of joint initiatives, and consolidate a female leadership network with mentors and ambassadors across all business areas.

ConneCTingWomen 26–29 puts focus and momentum on something that is already in our DNA: turning diverse talent into better engineering solutions,” says Cristina Maroto, Program Director. “The next step is clear: more visibility, more partnerships, and a strong mentoring network to pave the way for future generations,” she adds.

As part of this network, CT appoints Stella Moral Salguero, Virginia Sánchez Flores, and Elisa Grande García as program ambassadors, tasked with promoting local activation of the plan, connecting initiatives with business areas, and strengthening relationships with universities, clients, and associations within the ecosystem.

Today’s event brings together CT professionals —Cristina Maroto Castellanos (Site Manager & Director of ConneCTing Women) and Almudena Casanova Díaz (Outfitting Business Unit Manager)— along with Paloma Vega Lluch (CATEC), Paloma Barrera (Airbus), and Eva María Navarro Almoguera (Navantia), moderated by Silvia de los Santos (CTA).

The dialogue addresses the low enrollment of female students in STEM fields and the underrepresentation of women in technical leadership roles, exploring what companies, institutions, and educational environments can do to reverse this trend and inspire new vocations. At CT, we believe that incorporating more women into engineering is key to innovating, growing, and bringing diverse perspectives. ConneCTingWomen 26–29 accelerates this path with concrete, measurable actions, in partnership with EVA and industry stakeholders.
